State Rep. William Bruck will host Capitol Drone Symposium 2.0 on Thursday, Feb. 26, bringing together Michigan legislators, industry leaders, and stakeholders to discuss how emerging drone technology is shaping public safety, economic development, and everyday life across the state.
The symposium will provide an opportunity for collaboration between policymakers and stakeholders regarding unmanned aerial systems, commonly referred to as drones. Discussions will focus on security, operational capabilities, mobility, manufacturing, and current legislation affecting their use, procurement, and enforcement in Michigan.
“Drone technology is evolving rapidly, and Michigan has an opportunity to lead in innovation while ensuring security and responsible use,” said Bruck. “This symposium allows lawmakers and stakeholders to share perspectives and help shape balanced policies that protect the public while supporting economic growth.”
Stakeholder input from the event will help inform legislative decision-making and support solutions addressing commercial, industrial, recreational, and governmental drone applications.
